Magic Film ViewFinder offers a precise framing preview of your camera/lens combination, directly on your iPhone or iPad. This tool simulates the field of view of various camera and lens setups, making it a valuable aid during preproduction in filmmaking.

It's important to note that this app functions as a standalone director's viewfinder and does not convert your Apple device into an external monitor. While the app does include ad banners, these can be disabled through an in-app purchase within the 'About the App' menu.

The digital directors viewfinder provided by Magic ViewFinder allows you to visualize the exact field of view for your planned shots. Simply select the camera from the menu and adjust the focal length of the lens using the intuitive interface.

This tool also allows for simulation using tele adapters or anamorphic optics, offering flexibility for different shooting styles. Aspect ratios can be adjusted through the menu to further refine your frame composition.

Additional features include the application of color presets (LUTs) to the live image feed, enhancing visualization of the final shot. Users can capture images or videos with key metadata such as focal length, date/time, and camera/lens details for future reference.

White balance functionality can be set to Auto, Locked, or Manual mode, providing control over color temperature settings. The app intelligently adjusts for differing field of views between your actual camera and device camera by adding padding around the image where necessary.

To optimize accuracy, ensure that your device is positioned at the 'nodal point' of your lens during use. The app's ad policy is designed to minimize disruption, offering an option to remove ads for an improved user experience.
